Q What should I prepare and bring before a Korean medicine consultation?
A Bringing recent AMH, hormone, and ultrasound test results, your IVF history, a record of your menstrual cycle, and current medications will make the visit faster and more accurate. If you have your spouse's semen analysis results, bring those too.
Detailed Answer
It is most helpful to have your AMH and hormone levels from obstetrics, ovarian and uterine ultrasound reports, and, if you have had IVF, that history and its results. Jotting down your menstrual cycle and flow and ovulation-day records, and letting us know of any medications you are currently taking such as ovulation inducers or hormone drugs, allows for a more accurate consultation. If you have your spouse's semen analysis results, they are useful for examining couple factors together.
Korean Medicine Clinic Perspective
These records serve as clues for identifying the body patterns and pattern differentiation (byeonjeung) hidden behind the symptoms. At Dongjedang, we find that the more thoroughly you prepare, the more precisely we can design the procedure schedule and the role of Korean medicine treatment at the first visit.
